Trump registra encontro com Lula em sua rede social

A Casa Branca publicou nas redes sociais uma foto do encontro do presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, e o presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva em Kuala Lumpur, na Malásia, neste domingo (26).
Na postagem, Trump diz que foi uma honra se reunir com Lula e declarou que eles estão preparados para realizar bons acordos.
“É uma grande honra estar com o presidente do Brasil. Acredito que seremos capazes de fazer bons acordos para os dois países. Nós sempre tivemos boas relações. Acredito que isso vai continuar”, declarou Trump.
Durante a reunião, o presidente Lula pediu a revogação do tarifaço norte-americano contra as exportações brasileiras.
Após o encontro, a diplomacia norte-americana foi autorizada por Trump a iniciar as negociações com o governo brasileiro.
Em julho deste ano, Trump anunciou um tarifaço de 50% sobre todos os produtos brasileiros que são exportados para os Estados Unidos. Em seguida, ministros do governo brasileiro e do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) também foram alvo da revogação de vistos de viagem e outras sanções pela administração norte-americana, como a Lei Magnitsky – mecanismo previsto na legislação estadunidense usado para punir unilateralmente supostos violadores de direitos humanos no exterior.
