Título de eleitor digital já pode ser baixado via aplicativo

O eleitor que pretende usar o e-Título para se identificar durante as eleições já pode baixar a ferramenta eletrônica nas lojas de aplicativos dos sistemas operacionais Apple e Android.
O aplicativo é o meio oficial disponibilizado pela Justiça Eleitoral que substitui o título de eleitor em papel e permite consultar o local de votação, verificar pendências, emitir certidões e justificar a ausência na votação.
A identificação na seção de votação é permitida para quem já cadastrou a biometria e tem a foto exibida no aplicativo. Cerca de 118 milhões de pessoas, número correspondente a 75% do eleitorado, estão nessa situação.
De acordo com o Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE), em 1° de outubro, dia anterior ao primeiro turno, o download do aplicativo será suspenso e liberado somente no dia seguinte ao pleito. No segundo turno, será possível baixar o aplicativo somente até 29 de outubro, data anterior ao segundo turno.
Segundo o tribunal, mais de 27 milhões de eleitores já baixaram o aplicativo.
