Polícia Federal deflagra operação para combater contrabando de cigarros eletrônicos

A Polícia Federal deflagrou ontem terça-feira (24) de maio a Operação Vaper, nas regiões central e leste da capital paulistana, na ação foram cumpridos a sete mandados de busca e apreensão.
O objetivo é a repressão ao contrabando de cigarros eletrônicos e equipamentos similares, bem como à comercialização de substâncias nocivas à saúde. A operação decorre de investigações em que foram identificados depósitos e estabelecimentos comerciais nos quais eram realizadas a guarda e comercialização de grande quantidade de cigarros eletrônicos, refis e acessórios.
A importação, comércio e propaganda acerca dos dispositivos eletrônicos de fumar, seus acessórios e refis são proibidos em todo o território nacional, de acordo com dispositivo da Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (ANVISA). Os investigados podem responder pelos crimes de comercialização de substância nociva à saúde e contrabando, condutas previstas no Código Penal Brasileiro.As penas somadas podem chegar a sete anos de reclusão, além de multa.
