A Auto Viação Catarinense foi a primeira empresa de transporte de passageiros intermunicipal registrada no Brasil.Fundada em 13 de Abril de 1928, neste mês esta completando 94 anos de fundação, foi fundada em Blumenau -SC , e segue sendo referência no setor de transportes, tendo sido incorporada ao grupo JCA em 1995, o grupo JCA, do qual fazem parte a Auto Viação 1001 (responsável por 60% do transporte intermunicipal de passageiros no RJ), a Cometa, a Macaense e a Rápido Ribeirão Preto. os últimos 10 anos, a Catarinense incorporou mais de 50 linhas em sua operação e informatizou todas as agências próprias e terceirizadas, além de criar as Salas VIP com internet sem fio. A frota da empresa, renovada anualmente, possui veículos sempre novos e modernos, garantindo máximo conforto e segurança. Ao completar seus 94 anos, a Catarinense está oferecendo descontos aos seus passageiros, para a compra de passagens de rotas interestaduais, para viagens a serem realizadas entre 25/04 e 31/05.
