A Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) encerrou, neste domingo (19), a Operação Corpus Christi 2022. Neste ano, durante os cinco dias de operação, que teve início na quarta (15), 286 motoristas foram flagrados ultrapassando em locais proibidos e em 136 veículos, algum dos ocupantes não utilizava o cinto de segurança. Ainda, 79 motoristas foram autuados por embriaguez, quase 16 por dia.
Além disso, 35 crianças foram flagradas sem o dispositivo de retenção correto ou irregularmente instalado. 2.137 multas foram aplicadas e 186 veículos foram recolhidos por diversas irregularidades.
Foram registrados 107 acidentes, com 30 pessoas feridas e 12 mortas. O acidente mais violento foi registrado no início da noite de domingo (19), onde cinco pessoas morreram em decorrência de uma colisão frontal entre dois carros, na BR-163 em Planalto. O motorista causador do acidente estava alcoolizado e foi preso.
Em 2021, a PRF registrou 115 acidentes, com 130 pessoas feridas e sete mortes.
Combate ao crime
Nos cinco dias de operação, a PRF apreendeu 447 quilos de maconha, 696 mil maços de cigarros contrabandeados, R$ 385 mil em espécie sem comprovação de origem e cinco pistolas. 57 pessoas foram presas.
