A Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de São Paulo informou que uma mulher, de 72 anos, morreu no dia 17 de outubro na capital, vítima da variante BQ.1.1 da ômicron, da covid-19. Com diversas comorbidades, ela ficou internada no Hospital São Paulo, de 10 a 17 de outubro, data em que morreu. O material para exame foi coletado no início do mês passado.
A morte foi confirmada na rede do Centro de Informações Estratégicas em Vigilância em Saúde (Cievs) estadual.
Outro caso da doença confirmado em São Paulo é de um homem de 61 anos, que cumpriu isolamento e evoluiu clinicamente bem. Os primeiros sintomas foram detectados em 7 de outubro.
